July 2018 BoxyCharm Review

If you’re not familiar with Boxycharm, let me enlighten you. BoxyCharm is the only monthly beauty subscription service that sends you 4-5 full size or deluxe sample sized makeup & skincare items. If you ask me, it’s the best out there.. but that’s just my opinion. Each month you’re sent a curated and themed box of beauty goodies that always retail for over $100, while you pay $21. Have I sucked you in ? If you’re interested in trying this box out, click the link at the end of the post. I’m not at all sponsored or even recognized by BoxyCharm so I’m not trying to sucker you in just to make a few bucks, I truly love their box. I should probably be employed by them honestly, I talk about the box each month  with anyone who will let me gab on about it. But anyways, on to this month’s box, shall we?

Crown Brush Fuego Palette20180807234031.JPGThis 10 shade palette consists of rich warm toned metallic, shimmer and mattes. I have nothing bad to say about this thing, honestly. The shadows, even the mattes are like butter, and extremely complimentary. No gimmicks or pops of colors. This is the palette to get you excited for fall.20180807233746.JPG

Note Cosmetics Luminous Silk Compact Blusher in Desert Rose20180808_122918.jpgThis warm matte peach toned blush is so velvety smooth while maintaining a major punch of pigment once applied to the skin. I haven’t been able to go more than 4 days without wearing this blush. The argan oil formula blends beautifully into the skin with a satin matte finish that compliments almost every skin tone.20180807234356.JPG

Farmacy BRIGHT ON Massage Activated Vitamin C Mask20180807235113.JPGIf you follow me on IG then you know how much use this product has gotten since receiving it in the mail less than 2 weeks ago. The formula is very creamy and nourishing, once applying it to the face and massaging it in the color changing Vitamin C mask goes to work to begin removing buildup to even skin’s texture and tone. After 4 uses I could tell some of my dark spots were starting to dull, so I’m hooked.

Wander Beauty Unlashed Mascara20180807234742.JPG

Before I start in on this product, let me give you a disclaimer. I’m hard to impress when it comes to mascara. I blame falsies. I very rarely coat my natural lashes in mascara and head out the door, my lashes are sad and pretty pathetic. I’ve convinced myself no product will ever give me any noticeable lasting definition. that being said, let’s move on. This mascara is nice, It coats lashes softly and evenly while adding just a bit length, but a really nice boost in volume and curl. However (I told you, I’m hard to please) even after curling, priming and applying a few coats of this the initial thought is ‘oh wow, that looks great’, then 30 minutes or so go by, and my lashes look like I have done absolutely nothing with them. This may just be a me thing, but I do like the way my lashes look with this mascara for the first 15 minutes. The best part of this is definitely the packaging. In a see of plastic tube mascaras no matter the price, Wander Beauty did something innovative and I hope other brands see this and run with it. The hook shaped wand is secured in the mascara in packaging typical to that of lipgloss. Think Lancome Juicy Tubes circa 2004, and I love it.20180808_122825.jpg

Chella Beauty Eyebrow Cream in Tantalizing Taupe20180807234935.JPGOne side is a small slanted eye brow brush, I found the brush to be a bit too fluffy for my liking, so I stick with my A12 by Anastasia Beverly Hills to apply the rich velvety cream formula, housed at the other end of this pencil shaped product. This is probably the most natural looking brow cream I’ve ever used. Which I wasn’t at all expecting. Cream brow products almost always transform my brows into “Instagram brows” which I love, don’t get me wrong. I live for it. But this was an unexpected and welcomed changed. The Taupe shade is brown enough that is doesn’t wash out my skin and is deep enough that it doesn’t look off with my dark brown hair.

All in all, last month’s Boxycharm was and is a hit. If you’re interested in signing up for the subscription service, you can sign up on their website here. I’d do it ASAP because for a short time there’s no waiting period !

Thanks for stopping by !
